Eligibility:
-A Masters degree from an accredited university in the UK or overseas, with evidence of above-average academic achievement (more than 65% overall in your Masters) and the ability to undertake independent research (MSc dissertation at distinction level). Applicants with a First or 2:1 Bachelors degree will be considered if they have an outstanding research proposal and prior support from a prospective supervisor in the Business School. In such an instance, you must contact an appropriate supervisor before applying.
-For applicants whose native language is not English, an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of at least 7.0, or equivalent.
-Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to our teaching programmes during their second and third years of the scholarship.
Scholarship Open for International Students:
Scholarship Description: The University of Edinburgh seeks three dynamic researchers to join a group of globally recognised academics exploring issues concerning the accounting profession; accounting modes of representation; critical understanding of accounting and governance; and accounting, society and popular culture. This call is part of a broader School’s effort to make Edinburgh a renowned international research centre in the area of interdisciplinary research in accounting.
Number of award(s): Up to three awards will be made.
Duration of award(s): Each award will be for three years, subject to satisfactory progress.
What does it cover? Each award covers Home/EU or Overseas fees plus a maintenance stipend of £14,000 per year. Also included is £1,000 per annum to cover research and training costs.

Notification: Shortlisted candidates should expect to attend an interview either in person or on the telephone or via Skype, or to have been interviewed already by a potential supervisor. Recipients of the scholarships are usually announced approximately 15 May.
