Apply for a Clinton Foundation Internship

APPLICATION PROCESS

We divide our internships into five functions: Programs and Initiatives, Communications, Logistics, Technology, and the Clinton Presidential Center. Within each function there are specific areas of interest and within each area of interest there are specific departments (see our available internships). The application requires that you (1) choose your area of interest and (2) prioritize your departments of choice. Please review the options and be prepared with your selections before beginning the application process. 
Please complete all components of your application. You cannot resume a partially completed application form, so make sure you have the following components ready in plain text format before you continue:
  • Program and Department Preferences (see our available internships). The application requires that you (1) choose your areas of interest and (2) prioritize your departments of choice in your short essay.
  • Short Essay (250-500 words). Explain how the internship relates to your objectives, expectations, and future goals. Please include your experiences and skills that make you a strong candidate for the internship position. Additionally, your essay should include why you have chosen the specific areas of interest and departments.
  • Short Biography (100-200 words). Briefly describe your background and personal history.
  • Current Resume.
  • Writing Sample (1-5 pages). This could be the beginning of an academic paper, a short essay, or a non-academic writing sample from a job you've had. It should be a clear and concise example that demonstrates your writing ability.
  • Two Letters of Recommendation. Letters of recommendation should be submitted independent of your application. Request access to submit references here. If you are a current student or recent graduate, we prefer that one letter is from a professor. ***If one or more letters are being submitted directly by a recommender, please remember to follow up with them.
About

The Clinton Foundation is proud to offer the Clinton Careers Internship Program for current students and recent graduates. This program is designed to provide students from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to work in a professional position while building the career they would like to pursue upon graduation. The program has three primary components: hands-on work experience, educational and professional development, and mentorship. The program also includes a lecture series, social and community service events, and culminates in a final project to help guide participants beyond their Clinton Foundation experience. Internships are approximately three months in length, but can be up to one year in some instances.
Hands-on Experience
No matter the department, program, or initiative with which interns engage, each intern benefits from learning and gaining hands-on experience in a small team environment. Interns have the opportunity to interact with staff and key stakeholders on a daily basis, learn how projects are carried out, and participate in related educational activities. Interns are mentored by staff members in their fields of interest and have the opportunity to participate in the development of special projects.

Education and Professional Development
The Clinton Careers Internship Program provides interns with opportunities to develop themselves professionally, expand their technical knowledge, and learn about the operations of a global nonprofit. In addition to the skills learned during the internship, the program offers seminars and workshops targeted towards educational growth and professional development. Common programs include Excel seminars, panels, career days, and resume workshops.

Mentorship
Each intern is paired with a mentor at the Clinton Foundation. The mentor’s role is to facilitate personal and professional growth by sharing the knowledge and insights they have developed throughout their careers. Through this process, interns gain feedback, are offered guidance, and have someone within the Clinton Foundation to consult regarding their future.

Lecture Series
Our weekly lecture series features leaders from various sectors including nonprofits, businesses, entertainment, journalism, and public service. These sessions are intended to provide first-hand exposure to different areas of interest and an opportunity for interns to engage with and ask questions of experts in specific fields of interest. Although lecturers change every semester and depend on the availability of the speakers, past guests have included directors of nonprofits, staff at Fortune 500 companies, heads of departments and initiatives at the Clinton Foundation, individuals engaging in on-the-ground development projects around the world, and many more!

Participate in Intern Activities
The Internship Program offers many opportunities to participate in a range of exciting activities. Past offerings have included talks by renowned figures at the 92nd St. Y, tickets to Broadway shows, a walking tour of Harlem’s historical district, sporting events, and guided visits to numerous New York City attractions.

Opportunities for Community Service
Community service opportunities are available over the course of the semester. Community service opportunities are group activities geared toward fostering social interaction between interns and local communities. Program staff will inform interns about different opportunities and openings, although interns are also welcome to pursue engagements of their own interest. Past volunteer experiences have included participating in seasonal walks (AIDS Walk, Breast Cancer Walk, etc.), serving at the Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen, sorting medical equipment for Doc to Dock, helping with events at the local YMCA (Healthy Kids Day, Easter Egg Hunt, etc.), building for Habitat for Humanity, volunteering for the Foundation’s Day of Action, and many more.

MIT - Zaragoza Supporting Promising Professionals in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Scholarships

Zaragoza Logistics Center offers scholarships through its self-funded MIT Zaragoza Scholarship Program. Scholarships available for admitted students for the academic year 2017-2018:


  • Eligibility: Open to all candidates
  • Coverage: 25% (€ 6,000), 50% (€ 12,000) and 100% (€ 24,000) reduction in tuition for the ZLOG program

ZLOG Class of 2017 - 2018 MIT- Zaragoza Supporting Promising Professionals in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Scholarships

Presentation and objectives:
Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) currently provides a number of scholarships each year for students of the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program. The objective with these scholarships is to assure financial aid for outstanding students and thereby help ensure that financial circumstances are no bar to the most promising candidates having access to the world-class education that we offer. Furthermore, in so doing, we also create and promote an economic diversity in our classrooms.
Coverage
 ZLC will award a number of scholarships consisting of reduction in tuition for the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program, which currently amounts to €24,000. The reduction will depend on the applicant’s academic achievements and distinctive personal accomplishment in addition to an interest in pursuing a career in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The available scholarships are:  Average evaluation grade of 6 - 7.9 Coverage: 25 % (€6,000) reduction in tuition  Average evaluation grade of 8 - 8.9 Coverage: 50 % (€12,000) reduction in tuition  Average evaluation grade of 9 - 10 Coverage: 100 % (€24,000) reduction in tuition The scholarship will not include other costs such as the administrative fee, living or travel expenses to Zaragoza or to Boston for the international exchange.
Eligibility
 Scholarships are awarded only to students who have been admitted to the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program through ZLC‘s regular admissions procedure. Candidates will be expected to show extraordinary potential for leadership and professional success, bringing new vision and commitment to the area of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. 2 Furthermore, to be eligible candidates must comply with the following criteria:  Granted admission to the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program.  Completion of a four year undergraduate program equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree.  Professional excellence with a background or experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or exceptional academic achievement.  Competitive GRE or GMAT score. Exceptions may be granted to individuals who have demonstrated strong professional and/or academic achievement in completing a college degree - including some quantitative training and evidence of advanced verbal and written proficiency in the English language.  Fluency in English, competitive IELTS or TOEFL score. Exceptions may be granted to individuals who have demonstrated evidence of advanced verbal and written proficiency in the English language. Application Process and Documents

Selection criteria and process Competition for the ZLOG scholarships is intense and highly competitive. ZLC reserves the right to use the names, photographs and recordings of him/her on the website and for any other publicity. Any personal information held will be used in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
